STAVI Holds Prices and Quality Steady Amid the Food Price Surge

Published 10/12/2025STAVI

Faced with sharply rising food prices, most industrial catering providers are under heavy pressure from soaring input costs. Many have been forced to raise meal prices or cut portions to balance their budgets.

STAVI, however, remains firmly committed to its guiding principle: keeping meal prices unchanged, maintaining quality and continuing to provide full nutrition for workers, despite the current “price storm”.

Why food prices have risen

In recent months, Vietnam’s food market has seen strong fluctuations driven by a range of factors. Prices of food, especially vegetables and other agricultural produce, have risen continuously due to extreme weather, which has made supplies scarce and disrupted, while transport and production costs from other regions have climbed sharply.

A report by the General Statistics Office (GSO) shows that the producer price index for agriculture, forestry and fisheries rose by more than 7% year on year in the first six months of 2025, with vegetables being the hardest-hit group. Many localities also recorded reduced supply as prolonged storms and rain caused widespread flooding, pushing vegetable prices up considerably, in some places doubling or tripling them.

Holding prices to share the burden with businesses

Since its founding, STAVI has always been committed to standing by its customers and honouring the terms of the original contract. We understand that raising meal prices in difficult times not only puts pressure on businesses but also affects their operations and the health of their workers, who need full meals to maintain their health and productivity.

That is why, even as food prices on the market keep climbing, STAVI remains firm in keeping its prices stable. This is not just a promise; it is proof of our business philosophy: “delivering real value through dedication, sharing and responsibility”. Holding prices unchanged during such a volatile period takes great effort, but STAVI believes that customer trust is the most important foundation for long-term growth together.

Quality guaranteed by a strict control process

To hold both prices and quality steady in such challenging conditions, STAVI has set even higher standards for food control. All input ingredients are sourced from reputable suppliers with transparent origins. Vegetables must be fresh, meat and fish must meet the required standards and be transported under safe conditions before entering the warehouse.

Every day, STAVI’s plant supervisors and kitchen managers inspect the quality of each batch of goods. The inspection covers freshness, smell, colour, labelling and transport conditions. Only ingredients that fully meet food safety and hygiene standards are passed on for preparation.

Beyond the receiving stage, the entire process of preparation, cooking and serving is tightly controlled according to standard operating procedures. STAVI keeps 24-hour retained samples of every dish to ensure traceability and control food safety risks. This is our firm commitment to delivering safe meals for workers.

Food prices rise, yet STAVI keeps its prices and quality unchanged

One of the things that sets STAVI apart during this period of soaring prices is its firm refusal to cut portions or lower ingredient quality. Workers continue to receive full meals with the same amounts of meat, vegetables, main dishes and side dishes as before. Menus are still built to be varied, nutritionally balanced and suited to the working needs of each occupational group.

STAVI understands that a company’s meals are part of its employee benefits and the source of energy that keeps workers healthy and productive. So even with costs rising, we persist in keeping the quality of every meal unchanged, something many customers have recognised and appreciated over the past period.
